What Our Warranty Covers

This warranty covers the following manufacturing defects that affect the structural integrity and surface finish of the Flooring under normal residential use:

Structural Defects: Lifetime

Structural defects are covered for the lifetime of the original purchaser. Separation or delamination of the planks (for engineered hardwood), warping, cupping, or buckling that is inherent to the manufacturing process and not caused by improper installation, maintenance, excessive moisture, or subfloor conditions.

Finish Defects: 5 Years

Finish defectcs are covered 5 years of the original purchaser. Chipping, cracking, peeling of the original factory-applied finish under normal residential traffic, provided that the Flooring has been properly maintained according to applicable recommended maintenance guidelines. This excludes scratches, dents, scuffs, and other surface damage caused by abuse, misuse, lack of protection, or accidents.

Refinishing: 3 Times

Flooring may be professionally sanded and refinished a minimum of 3 times without impairing the general appearance or structural integrity of the floor; so long as proper sanding and refinishing procedures are followed pursuant to the National Wood Flooring Association guidelines. This refinishing warranty only applies to the original purchaser.

What Our Warranty Does Not Cover

This warranty specifically excludes the following:

  • Improper Installation: Damage or defects resulting from improper or faulty installation, including but not limited to inadequate subfloor preparation, incorrect adhesive or fastening methods, insufficient expansion gaps, or failure to follow applicable installation instructions.

  • Improper Maintenance: Damage or defects resulting from failure to properly maintain the Flooring according to our recommended care and maintenance guide, including but not limited to using inappropriate cleaning products, excessive moisture exposure, or lack of protection from furniture and/or heavy traffic.

  • Moisture Damage: Damage or defects caused by excessive moisture from subfloors, plumbing leaks, flooding, spills, or other sources. Hardwood flooring is a natural product and is susceptible to changes in moisture levels.

  • Normal Wear and Tear: Scratches, dents, scuffs, indentations, and other surface damage caused by normal daily use, furniture movement, pets, dropped objects, or high heels.

  • Color Variations: Natural variations in wood grain, color, and shade are inherent characteristics of hardwood and are not considered defects. Samples and showroom displays may not perfectly represent the color and grain of the actual Flooring.

  • Gloss Reduction: Reduction in gloss level over time due to normal use is not covered.

  • Environmental Conditions: Damage or defects resulting from extreme temperature or humidity fluctuations, excessive sunlight/UV exposure, or other environmental conditions beyond our control.

  • Accidents, Abuse, or Misuse: Damage or defects caused by accidents, “Acts of God” (i.e. house fire or natural disaster, etc.) abuse, misuse, negligence, or intentional damage.

  • Mats: Damaged caused by use of rubber-backed mats.

  • Substances: Damage caused by hot oil, food debris, or other foreign substances.

  • Noise: Including, but limited to, squeaks and popping.

  • Non-Residential Use (unless specified): This residential warranty does not apply to Flooring installed in commercial or other non-residential settings unless a specific commercial warranty is provided.

  • Flooring Installed Outdoors: This warranty applies only to interior installations.

  • Products Sold "As-Is": This warranty does not apply to products sold "as-is" or with known defects at the time of purchase.

  • Nontransferable: This warranty applies to the original purchaser and is not transferable to any subsequent owner(s) (person or entity), no exceptions.

  • Unpaid for product: In the event you owe any unpaid balance to us, we reserve the right to disclaim all warranty coverage.

  • Labor Costs: This warranty does not cover any labor costs associated with the removal, replacement, or repair of the Flooring.

  • Consequential or Incidental Damages: We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising from any defect in the Flooring.

Maintenance

To maintain this warranty, you must:

  • Ensure proper installation according to applicable written installation instructions.

  • Maintain the Flooring according to our recommended maintenance guide.

  • Maintain the Flooring at all times between 35%-55% relative humidity and 60-80 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Provide proof of original purchase, including the date of purchase and the name of the seller.

  • Notify us in writing within 30 days of discovering a potential defect.

  • Provide us with reasonable access to inspect the Flooring.

Remedy

If a defect covered by this warranty is found to exist, our sole obligation and your exclusive remedy will be, at our option, to:

  1. Repair the defective Flooring.

  2. Replace the defective Flooring with flooring of comparable quality and value.

We reserve the right to inspect the Flooring and may request samples or photographs to determine the validity of the claim.

How to Make a Claim:

To make a warranty claim, you must:

  1. Notify us in writing within 30 days of discovering a potential defect.

  2. Provide us with your proof of purchase, a detailed description of the defect, and the date the defect was discovered.

  3. We will then contact you with the warranty claim information.

  4. We may require you to provide additional information or allow us to inspect the Flooring.
